About the Author:

Kathy Light is Founder and President of KathyLight International, a company dedicated to inspiring leaders to realize their greatness and achieve their visions. We do this through insightful, uplifting and action-oriented coaching, training,speaking and consulting.

Kathy completed her undergraduate degree in Fine Arts at Texas Christian University and earned an M.B.A. at the University of St. Thomas. She is a member of the International Coach Federation (a globally recognized association of professional personal and business coaches) and is certified to administer a number of professional development assessments.
In addition to her roles as wife, mother of two and business owner, Kathy is an active member of her church and an accomplished soprano. She uses her professional skills and expertise to serve the community through a coaching and mentoring program called Project Hope. She has been happily married for 23 years and lives in the Dallas, Texas area with her husband and their two children.

 

My Review:

This was a very inspiring and uplifting book. It shows me that I have the power to change the things that are going on in my life. Kathy explains to us that we all need to look inside of ourselves to find our own natural beauty and self-worth so we can share it with the world. I've been going through some rough patches lately and I must say Why You Rock really helped! It gave me the motivation to jump start my day. I love the fact that it isn't just a book but it's a journal as well. The author gives us space to write our thoughts and inspirations down. I find the quotes featured in Why You Rock inspiring too, some examples are:

Reasons Why YOU ROCK! would make a great inexpensive gift, not only because it's a great book ...it's also a journal and inspirational process that leads you to discover and celebrate your unique, extraordinary greatness, and use it to produce your desired life. What would make it an even more special gift is if you add your own personal message to it telling them why you think they are great. :) I highly recommend this motivational read.
