Halloween: Every Thing Goes Bump

Ok,
So I know this post is probably WAY off the usual topic but I'm going to talk about the UNUSUAL. I know some of you guys might judge me but I'm just going to say it: I BELIEVE IN GHOSTS. I'm only saying this because when I was younger I said "Hey! Lets do a seance!"and that's what my friends and I did. The craziest things happened during that seance....I said "Give us a sign...." and the cat meowed right after I said it. Then I said " Give us another sign..." and the candles went out. People always say "It's all in your head" or "They just have active imaginations" but I take it with a grain of salt. I mean what would you think if that happened to you? I'm sure you could brush it off that once thinking it was all just a big coincidence but was it?  Then there is the case of my fiance's dog staring at the wall and barking for hours at a time. If it was an apartment I would understand that she could be barking because of the neighbors...but in a house?  What I think is the craziest though, is when you are walking and just for a split second you see something out of the corner of your eye move and you just can't place a finger on what it actually is. It's like you KNOW that you just saw something or someone move but no one is home with you.  It's a very creepy feeling.

Here are some thought to be genuine portraits of the unexplained.

This next one is my favorite because I have actually gone to this cemetery and it is so creepy that the cops that stopped us from going in there told us that THEY themselves won't step foot in there after dark. You have to walk a trail (it seems like forever) through the woods to get there.
Here is a picture that was taken there:

Reverend K.F. Lord took a picture of the altar at his church in North Yorkshire, England  and this is what came out. The picture and the negative are said to have been thoroughly examined by photographic experts and they can't find any evidence that this was either a double exposure, or artificially altered. The "thing" is calculated to be standing nine feet tall, and no one's found any record of a monk that humongous ever being at Newby Church. Who is it? What is it? Trick of light or something else? Either way it's way too creepy to not mention on this list.

Do you have any stories that you would like to share?

I sure love a great ghost story around Halloween!

  2. wow thats just spooky!!!! I'm not sure if I'm a believer or not, but I do believe that our loved ones stay close by to watch over us as I feel that my Dad is never to far away and is always watching over me and my family.

  3. Hi! I don't know what to believe! Did you do the 'blood Mary' mirror thing as a kid? Just the idea of that freaked me right out when I was 9 or 10 (too many R.L. Stine and Christopher Pike books, perhaps?) so your seance experience would've done me in.

My current house was built in 1892 so I try not to dwell on thoughts of ghosts too long these days. I've got a very active imagination so I can get myself pretty worked up quickly. I will admit that I avoid going down to the basement after dark (eek!) and I have a rule about not watching tv shows or movies with supernatural aspects (especially ghosts!) before bed. I love the tv show Supernatural (do you watch it?) and was watching some of their Halloween episodes earlier this evening.

Any who, thanks for visiting me. Now I'm following you. I'm doing my first giveaway (CSN $35) stop over and enter if you get a chance.

    Enjoy the weekend! :)
