Judge Andrew P. Napolitano joined Fox News Channel (FNC) in January 1998, and currently serves as the Senior Judicial Analyst. He provides on air legal analysis every weekday throughout the day on FNC and on its sister network, Fox Business Network (FBN). He hosts “FreedomWatch” on FBN, Saturday at 10 am and 8 pm, and Sunday at 7 pm and 11 pm Eastern time. He is also the regular fill-in host for “The Glenn Beck Program” on FNC, weekdays at 5 pm.

Judge Napolitano is the youngest life-tenured Superior Court judge in the history of the State of New Jersey. While on the bench from 1987 to 1995, Judge Napolitano tried more than 150 jury trials, and sat in all parts of the Superior Court–Criminal, Civil, Equity, and Family. He has handled thousands of sentencings, motions, hearings, and divorces. For eleven years, he served as an adjunct professor of constitutional law at Seton Hall Law School, where he provided instruction in constitutional law and jurisprudence. Judge Napolitano returned to private law practice in 1995 and began television broadcasting in the same year.
Judge Napolitano has published five books on the U.S. Constitution. They are Constitutional Chaos: What Happens When The Government Breaks Its Own Laws; the New York Times bestseller, The Constitution in Exile: How the Federal Government Has Seized Power by Rewriting the Supreme Law of the Land; A Nation of Sheep; Dred Scott’s Revenge: A Legal History of Race and Freedom In America; and the New York Times bestseller Lies the Government Told You: Myth, Power, and Deception In American History.
His writings have also been published in the New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, the Los Angeles Times, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, the New York Sun, the Baltimore Sun, the (New London) Day, the Seton Hall Law Review, the New Jersey Law Journal, and the Newark Star-Ledger. He lectures nationally on the Constitution and human freedom.
Judge Napolitano received his undergraduate degree from Princeton University in 1972, and received his Juris Doctor degree from University of Notre Dame in 1975.

My Review:

Judge Andrew Napolitano's new Political book is very interesting. He believes that the American people buy into lies pretty easily, and I can't disagree with him. In this book the author talks about 17 lies in particular the biggest and first being"All men are created equal". You can definitely tell by the way he writes that he is a big supporter in the Constitution. Being a political based book I really didn't know why I picked it at first to review because I thought it would be really boring! However, I found the lies that he talks about very captivating.

Most of the books that have influenced and touched me the most are historical fiction.  When I was a child I read a lot of Dickens, Poe and H.H. Monroe.   Some of my favorites from the past are The Quincunx, by Charles Palliser, Instance of the Fingerpost by Iain Pears, The Weight of Water by Anita Shreve, and The Source by James Mitchener.  I also read everything by Annie Dillard, Cormac McCarthy and Larry McMurtry.  Currently I'm re-reading a book called The Long Home by William Gay who is, to me, one of the best writers in American fiction today.

My Review
This book was wonderful for me to read...I mean it was right up my alley! I've been doing family genealogy and many of my relatives were the original settlers in this country. My family started a few towns in MA and in NJ. The funny thing is that I can relate to Kathleen Kent because one of my family members was accused  of being a witch and moved up to Canada. He wasn't obviously a witch, however, he refused to try a case against one of the "witches" and ended up being accused because of it!
Anyways, back to the review. This was very interesting and DARK in a good way. There are some pretty harsh parts in the book, but it was some pretty harsh times that they were living in. I love how the author reverts to London as well, I feel that it keeps the story relevant.  This historical fiction book is packed with plenty of drama, love, and just enough violence to make it a 4 star read!
I seriously recommend that you gals and guys read this, especially if you like reading historical based books.

About the Author:

ANITA SHREVE began writing fiction while working as a high school teacher. Although one of her first published stories, "Past the Island, Drifting," was awarded an O. Henry Prize in 1975, Shreve felt she couldn't make a living as a fiction writer so she became a journalist. She traveled to Africa, and spent three years in Kenya, writing articles that appeared in magazines such as Quest, US, and Newsweek. Rescue was a heartfelt read. I enjoy reading sappy happy and sad family books. I love how Anita Shreve gave us plenty of details of what happened before Sheila (Rowan's mom) left and then what happened after she came home. I love the fact that this book has alot of depth, mainly family issues.  This book definetly shows the real importance of being completely honest with your children and what can happen if you aren't. I read this pretty quickly 1 day to be exact. This would be the perfect book to read in Book/Reading group.

~My Review~
This was such a great book! I'm a little biased when it comes to historical fiction because it's my all-time favorite genre to read.  However, the characters are truly captivating and memorable and very historically accurate to the time period. I know some of you might find historical fiction boring to say the least, but Of Honest Fame is different. It's one of those 'can't put down' books that makes you wish that you were actually there.

I love the fact that it had such a hold on me that I did a little bit of research on the time period.
What did I find?
That it was very accurate! I want you guys to do your own research so I didn't want to give anything away :).

My Review:

This was a very inspiring and uplifting book. It shows me that I have the power to change the things that are going on in my life. Kathy explains to us that we all need to look inside of ourselves to find our own natural beauty and self-worth so we can share it with the world. I've been going through some rough patches lately and I must say Why You Rock really helped! It gave me the motivation to jump start my day. I love the fact that it isn't just a book but it's a journal as well. The author gives us space to write our thoughts and inspirations down. I find the quotes featured in Why You Rock inspiring too, some examples are:

 My Review

I have to say that Thr3e was so compelling that I couldn't put it down! When I was taking a bath-I read the book. While I was cooking dinner-I read the book(not while I was actually cooking...more like waiting). It's definitely a gripping page turner of a story. Thr3e is one of those books that totally catches you by surprise...you NEVER expect what happens to happen.  You are drawn to the characters almost immediately, it's like you are actually a part of the story.  Ted Dekker definitely knocked this one out of the park with this well written book one that will not be forgotten. 

I recommend Thr3e by Ted Dekker to anyone who likes to read: Thrillers or Suspense books.

This is my favorite and least liked widely spread Euphemism. Ralph Keyes then goes on to explain how doctors often say pinch when it really doesn't even pinch at all! I absolutely loathe it when they say pinch; not only because they are outright lying...but the fact is : EVERYONE knows that they are lying.

Euphemia is very well written and is definitely entertaining. Ralph tells us why we use euphemisms and gives us some wonderful examples that we see practically everyday! While I was reading this I had to chuckle thinking:" I didn't even think of it that way!" I will surely be reading this book many more times because lets just say....I'm now having  a Love Affair With Euphemisms. I'm just full of jokes, and that is what a book like this does to me...it makes me feel good!

~My Review~

I absolutely love how Robert Greer added a second story line to First of State! I don't know if he meant to keep the readers interested in it by doing so, but he kept me wanting to come back for more! I must say that Mystery is one of my all-time favorite book genres because of the characters and the whole idea of maybe being able to solve the 'mystery'  yourself by developing you own ideas. The characters were absolutely unique and very interesting, ones that surely won't be forgotten-even if Mr. Greer kills them off in the end.  Not many people really pay too much attention to the quotes that are in the beginning of the book...I do! I love quotes and this particular one really piqued my curiosity.

He is a happily married dad of four kids.  His dog George Bailey is a very special part of his wonderful life.  Most  of all, he is thankful for the grace and love of his Savior, Jesus Christ, who leads him beside still waters - even in the jungle.

 Jungle Warfare is a book that is supposed to help out Christians in the sales field. Although I don't directly work in the Sales Field, I feel that on a daily basis I sell my blog to various companies and readers. If you think about it, I work one-on-one with companies everyday trying to come up with new product reviews and giveaways for you guys. I felt that this book really helped me out! The author instructs us to finish the book in 22 days but I finished it alot sooner because I don't like to follow directions. LOL. Just kidding, actually in order to get my review out to you guys I had to read it all in one sitting. What do I particularly love about Jungle Warfare? I love that the author leaves you space to write your thoughts and prayer requests. I also love that he has quirky titles for each day your read. For example, Day 3 say: Wild Hogs and Leeches. Isn't that fun? This is a wonderful motivational book for Christians in Sales, Christian Bloggers, and really anyone who wants to get ahead in life.

About the Author:

With a cup of coffee in hand, I turned the last page and thought to myself...."I really loved this book in a sad and depressing way". It's really easy for me to relate to the characters in The Good Sister because I come from a huge, complex, and sometimes vengeful family. I know exactly how far a family will go to either help or on the opposite end hurt each other. I have to say that not too many books have made me cry like this one has. The characters are totally captivating in a real way. I have to give it to Drusilla Campbell for painting such a true and vivid picture on a topic that is rarely discussed.  Although this is a work of fiction, there is surely an underlying truth in which all families have their good and their bad sides. I highly recommend reading The Good Sister.  Beware though, this books should only be read by mature audiences because the subject matter can be a little intense.

About the Author:

Different From All The Other Rocks on the Beach

Lightning has struck me all my life. Just once was it real. I shouldn't remember it, for I was little more than a baby. But I do remember. I was in a field, where there were horses and riders performing tricks. Then a storm blew in, and a woman-not Mam-picked me up and brought me under a tree. As she held me tight I looked up and saw the pattern of black leaves against a white sky.

Then there was a noise, like all the trees falling down round me, and a bright, bright light, which was like looking at the sun. A buzz run right through me. It was as if I'd touched a hot coal, and I could smell singed flesh and sense there was pain, yet it weren't painful. I felt like a stocking turned inside out.

Others begun pulling at me and calling, but I couldn't make a sound. I was carried somewhere, then there was warmth all round, not a blanket, but wet. I knew where I was because it was water and I knew water -our house was close to the sea, I could see it from our windows. Then I opened my eyes, and it feels like they haven't been shut since.

The lightning killed the woman holding me and two girls standing next to her, but I survived. They say I was a quiet, sickly child before the storm, but after it I grew up lively and alert. I cannot say if they're right, but the memory of that lightning still runs through me like a shiver. It marks powerful moments of my life: seeing the first crocodile skull Joe found, and finding its body myself; discovering other monsters on the beach; meeting Colonel Birch. Other times I'll feel the lightning strike and wonder why it's come. Sometimes I don't understand, but accept what the lightning tells me, for the lightning is me. It entered me when I was a baby and never left.

I feel an echo of the lightning each time I find a fossil, a little jolt that says, "Yes, Mary Anning, you are different from all the rocks on the beach." That is why I am a hunter: to feel that bolt of lightning, and that difference, every day.

 Tracy Chevalier has done it again! I love how Tracy can take some historical events, spin them a bit, and come up with the masterpiece Remarkable Creatures. The history in this book is really unforgettable. It's amazing to read about how people thought about fossils before the dinosaur theory was accepted.  I enjoy reading novels that capture women of the 19th century being strong because so much of that period is dominated by males.  I was so intrigued with the characters Mary and Elizabeth that I read this in just 1 day! Not only did I enjoy the novel but I also learned some cool facts too. I even went as far as looking Mary Anning up on the Internet! Below is the picture of the Ichthyosaur you read about in the book.
